If you ARE scuba certified and do NOT need a refresher course, no problem! You can book an excursion from this page as well. We'll just skip the initial learning session at the park's swim area, and spend more time with video and exploring (see dropdown for certified diver rates).

This Florida freshwater river is perfect (and open) to divers year-round, only an hour and half from Orlando or Tampa. Plus, it's great for the occasional underwater wildlife spotting and epic video of your dive!

This is considered one of the easiest dive sites in Florida, and one of the prettiest.

No classes to take ahead of time, gear to worry about, or the heavy scheduling commitments of a full course. It's all about you getting back into scuba diving in a clear, exotic freshwater dive site with an experienced Instructor! 

Just show up and dive with Kenny, who is an active-status, fully-insured Scuba Instructor that's familiar with this dive site (also the one who made the attached videos). We'll do a short introduction to your gear, a few safety lessons, and get comfortable from the sandy swim area before heading down the river in the water taxi.

You'll get a video of your experience, including an intro lesson on underwater posing, form and tips (if you wish)!  *Video is included at no additional charge!

Requirements:

• Ages 10+ (Under 18 requires release signed by legal guardian)

• Must be free of active, inhaler-dependent Asthma, Insulin-dependent diabetes, epilepsy/seizures, pregnancy.

• Transportation (pickup/dropoff can be scheduled for a fee, upon request)

• Swimsuit, or something to wear under a wetsuit

• You DO NOT need to be a strong swimmer for this experience.

Details:

• All equipment needed will be provided, including wetsuit, tanks, scuba gear, dive flag float, etc.
  
• All admission AND water taxi fees are included. (If you wish to arrive early and pay entry yourself, your park entry fee will be refunded to your credit card)
• This is a guided dive with an active-status, insured scuba instructor directly supervising the entire event. 
• This is NOT a scuba certification course. This is simply an introduction (or refresher) depending on the option selected.
• If you wish to get scuba certified after this with Sweetwater Scuba, some credit may be issued toward course requirements for dives/skills completed.

Timing: After booking, you'll be contacted and sent specific itinerary with directions, links and final details.

Typically, we spend approximately 2.5 hrs on-site. This will be a combination of check-in, orientation, in-water instruction before getting on water taxi, and drifting back down the river.
